About Thomas Gitz-Johansen
Jungian psychoanalyst
My name is Thomas Gitz-Johansen. I am a Jungian psychoanalyst trained at the Jung Institute in Copenhagen. I offer psychotherapy in Valby and online.
Jungian therapy is a psychotherapeutic method with a well-documented effect on mental health and life coping in general. Research has shown that this type of therapy has lasting positive effects on quality of life and mental health and that this positive development tends to continue throughout life—even after the therapy programme has ended.
Jungian psychotherapy is aimed at treating mental imbalances, symptoms, and various emotional problems. It also focuses on supporting the natural development of the personality, allowing it to unfold as much as possible in accordance with its unique nature. This process, known as the individuation process, is the true purpose of Jungian therapy.
